Atmosphere Collection: 'Sunrise' Lampshade

The 'Sunrise' lampshade, is the second colourful addition to our growing 'Atmosphere' collection. This lampshade has a softer colour palette with pale shades of yellow, oranges, pinks and purples. It offers subtle texture and pattern to set off our signature style of thick wool roving and fluffy fringe.

The colours and textures of this lampshade would suit both contemporary and more traditional interiors. By adding colour, texture and drama with in its smallest size, it would be a welcome addition in bedrooms, children's rooms and small spaces.

Each unique lampshade is carefully handwoven in our Oxford studio using only the finest materials. The lampshade begins with a clear monofilament warp and injects subtle-coloured cotton mixes to create a transparent and softly coloured backdrop for the merino wool roving. The lampshade also features the delightful merino wool 'fringe' at the top and bottom of the drum. Once woven, we assemble the lampshade in our Oxford studio and finish it with a hand stitching to our exacting standards.

Our 'Sunrise' lampshade is 100% handwoven with bright colours and textures. Inspired by the atmosphere, the sky at dusk and dawn, before or after it rains, this evolving collection contains handwoven pieces that have their own unique colours, textures, patterns and finish which you can specify.

Each step in our process reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and time-honoured weaving traditions. We also believe in sourcing all our materials from within the UK to minimise our carbon footprint and use natural fibres whenever possible as we aim to cultivate a more sustainable practice.
