Class: Introduction to Design [4 hours] COMING SOON!
Introduction to Design Class
Learn the basics of design and apply them to your craft discipline in this new class catering to makers looking to broaden their design knowledge.
Skill Level: Beginner – Intermediate
Are you a maker wanting to expand your inspiration resources? Are you developing your product base but are struggling to find a cohesive body of work? Then come along to our class and learn from us and your peers as we explore how makers generate original ideas.
In this class we will build on your knowledge of design by looking at the steps involved in creating your work. The visual aid and sample you bring with you to class (knitting, crochet, felting, weaving, papercraft, etc) will be the starting point for a discussion about your design process. As a group we will discuss your approach and investigate where you can improve your process, then actively apply this new approach using the materials supplied.
