Atmosphere Collection: 'Rainbow' Lampshade

The 'Rainbow' lampshade, is the first colourful addition to our growing 'Atmosphere' collection. This colourful lampshade is a colour-lover's delight, with layers of colour, texture and subtle pattern, which also features our signature style of thick wool roving and our new fluffy fringe.

Our first exploration of bright colour was an exciting departure for us. By combining the wonderful textures with pops of colour and the gorgeous wool 'fringe', this lampshade would inject dramatic flair to both neutral and colourful, contemporary interiors.

Each unique lampshade is carefully handwoven in our Oxford studio using only the finest materials. The lampshade begins with a double warp of clear monofilament and an injection of bright cotton to create a transparent but colourful backdrop for the cotton yarn mixes and stunning colours of merino wool roving that has become our signature style. The lampshade also features the delightful merino wool 'fringe' at the top and bottom of the drum. Once woven, we assemble the lampshade in our Oxford studio and finish it with a hand stitching to our exacting standards.

Our 'Rainbow' lampshade is 100% handwoven with bright colours and textures. Inspired by the atmosphere, the sky at dusk and dawn, before or after it rains, this evolving collection contains handwoven pieces that have their own unique colours, textures, patterns and finish which you can specify.

Each step in our process reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and time-honoured weaving traditions. We also believe in sourcing all our materials from within the UK to minimise our carbon footprint and use natural fibres whenever possible as we aim to cultivate a more sustainable practice.
